Invitation for Participation on 21th Zemun International Salon of Caricature
Dear artist,
Zemun International Salon of Caricature organizes the exhibition with the topic:
OLYMPIC GAMES AND OLYMPIC SPORTS – FROM ANCIENT TIMES UNTIL BRAZIL
Except in Zemun, the exhibition will be present in several other towns in Serbia.
The exhibition is on invitation, and among the artist we invite to participate are you also.
So, please, send us a work on the theme - deadline is February 15th 2016. We do not need original work but scanned copy size A4 (30x21 cm) in a high resolution (300 dpi). We shall also accept previous published and exhibited works. Maximum number of works is 3 (three)

All participants will receive a good quality catalog with all selected works.

Regulations
Participation conditions
1- SATYRYKON 2016 International Exhibition is an open competition.
2- The objects of the competition are drawings, graphics and other works of fine arts and photography created with the use of optional techniques, being originals, completed within the recent two years (2015-2016), and qualified by artists to section:
SECTION I – THEME: EVIL
SECTION II – JOKE AND SATIRE
(drawing without captions preferred)
3-WORKS AWARDED IN OTHER COMPETITIONS will be excluded from the competition SATYRYKON.
4- The format of works -maximum A3 (297 x 420 mm)
5-Works should be sent or delivered by February 8, 2016 (date of the postmark), packed in a protective cover to:

Organisers are not responsible for transport damages.
THE PARTICIPANTS ARE KINDLY ASKED NOT TO POST, THE WORKS VIA ELECTRONIC MEANS AS THESE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR THE COMPETITION.
6- Participation in the competition is free of charge. However, organisers reserve the right to include one of the submitted works in the Satyrykon Gallery. The work, chosen by the author, will in this way cover our costs of mailing.
7-Works should be accompanied by their author’s photo or caricature, a short biographical note and a filled application form (PLEASE USE CAPITALS).
Prizes
1- Works for the competition will be qualified by the international Jury.
2- Jury will award the following prizes:
Grand Prix SATYRYKON 2016 – pure gold key and purse amounting to 8,000 PLN
2 gold medals and purses amounting to 6.000 PLN
2 silver medals and purses amounting to 5.500 PLN
2 bronze medals and purses amounting to 5.000 PLN
and 4 special prizes amounting to 4.000 PLN each
Director of Legnickie Centrum Kultury (Legnica Culture Centre) for a photography work in amount of 4,000 PLN award
Mayor of legnica award in amount of 4.000 PLN
Organisers plan to award the author of the best DEBUT and will organise her/his individual author’s exhibition at SATYRYKON Gallery included in Satyrykon 2016 programme as well.
Jury has the right of final distribution of the statutory prizes, change of their amount, or non – awarding them or non – awarding the Grand Prix SATYRYKON. Jury’s decisions are final.
The competition results will be announced on March 1, 2016 at Satyrykon web site: www.satyrykon.pl.

AWARDS ARE SUBJECT TO TAXATION ACCORDING TO THE CURRENT REGULATIONS. The condition to pay the authors is their arrival for the opening of the exhibition and collection of their awards by December 15, 2016, or it can be transferred into a bank account in a currency specified by the author.
Participants’ privileges
1-Authors of work qualified to the exhibition are given a presentation copy of the exhibition catalogue.
2- Organisers provide competition prize-winners with gratuitous participation in the SATYRYKON 2016 event on June 16-19, 2016.
3- Works sent to the exhibitions will be exhibited in the country and abroad after the main exhibition, and then will be returned to their authors by the end of 2017.
WE KINDLY ASK THE AUTHORS TO NOTIFY US ABOUT ANY CHANGES TO THEIR ADDRESS DATA – RETURN ADDRESS / PHONE / E-MAIL.
Final provisions
1-Organisers reserve the right to use the sent works for SATYRYKON advertising purposes without any special fees paid to the authors: to be exhibited and reproduced in a variety of advertising materials, as well as printed and circulated in catalogues.
2-The prize-winning works become the property of the organisers and will be included in the collection of the Satyrykon Gallery.
3- The exhibition organisers are the final judges in interpretation of the regulations.
4- Sending her/his work the artist agrees to the mentioned above rules and regulations and agrees to publishing of the author’s profile in the post-exhibition catalogue.

BORN 85 - International ART TRIBUTE (Slovakia) by Peter Závacký (Slovakia).
Just-completed year 2015 in our country was also the year Adolf Born.
Legendary artist, living icon, celebrated its 85 th Anniversary.
And celebrated them in the great style.
Prepared for his fans staffing exhibitions (Breclav, 2xZlín - Gottwaldov,
2xPrague, Veľké Losiny...), meetings, autograph sessions,
new illustrated books, as Festival Stars received the Great
award for his life's animation work (at 55 th International Film
Festival for Children and Youth, Zlín -
Gottwaldov, Czech)...
He also received the highly esteemed.
Dear and precious surprise - in the form of art greeting cards - his witty
portrait in cartoons.
In cooperation with the curator Peter Závacký (Slovakia).
In the international art project known as ART TRIBUTE TO ADOLF
BORN....
From fellow artists from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Europe and the world
- from South America to Asia, from Carlos Amorim (Brasil), René Bouschet
(France), Wilem Rasing (Netherlands), Maria Balea (Romania), Lubomír Vaněk and
František Šesták (Czech), Marcel Čižmár (Slovak republic), Katarina Vašičková
and Sofia Mamalinga (Greece), Vasilij Voznjuk (Ukraine) to Machmud Eshonkulov
(Uzbekistan) and Adam Chua (Republic of Singapore), together twenty
countries..., all who remember and appreciate the art of Master Born.
Even 40 years after his great success.
Still, he is the most honor important Czech cartoonist in abroad.
In 1974, Adolf Born was declared cartoonist of the year in Montreal
(Canada).
Selected, top artists drew him to the jubilee of his face - as portrait.
Let us mention only a few well-known names such as Maria Balea (Romania),
real Academicf of Russia Art Academy Vladimir Motchalov (Moscow),
Jurij Kuverdjajev (Moscow), Carlos Amorim (Brasil), JUNCO (Spain), Vasco
Gargalo (Portugal), Saadet Demir Yalcin (Turkey), Nicoleta Ionescu (Romania),
Linda Kishazi (Hungary), Aleksandar Blatnik and Milenko Mihajlovič (Serbia),
Oleksij Kustovskij (Kijev), Ivailo Cvetkov (Bolgaria), Nikolaj Rachkov
(Russia), Oleg Gutcol and Oleg Krupik (Belarus), Miro Krištofík, Janko Gľonda
and Mišo Závacký, Martin Krajčovič (Slovakia), Sergej Semedjajev and Mikola

Masters, with letter of invitation from curator, gratefully and
respectfully, create new forms of five tens face Adolf Born (the mere Maria
Balea drew them five), large and valuable works of art, for contemporaries, but
also as a future.
Curator Peter Závacký told : - Artists painted his smiling
face and sent a portrait (caricature) as an art greeting. All works are
different. Original, distinctive, with the idea and composition, artistic
handwriting. But one thing they have in common. They are great. Excellent works
of art - the highest artistic value. High artistic chronicle face of Master
Born. By meaning rare and a unique set of portraits. Meaning rare and an unique
set of portraits. Great message for next generations and to the
future. Great show! Not only for fans of Adolf. But also for lovers and
experts cartoons.Valuable document not only for contemporaries, but also for
future periods.
These caricatures we like to introduce for all fans of Born and also
all readers of our HUMORGRAFE-magazine.
We repeat very happy for our young generations:

Today it is not everybody knows, already
And in these ancient years (seventies), in the world, it was the era
of domination of Ronald Searle (1920-2011(G.Britain), Saul
Steinberg (1914-1999)(Romania/USA), Roland Topor (1938-1997)(France), Marcel
Gotlib (1934)(France), Paul Flora (1922-
2009)(Austria), Jean Solé (1948)(France), Jean Michel
Folon (1934-2005)(Belgium), Michal Sowa 1945
(Germany)..., and other,
And in "Capital ice-hockey" city - Montreal, in that time, more
than 600 best of cartoonists in the world, who wrote and drew the modern
history, voted for the best of them - Czech Adolf Born. First and last
from Easter Europe.
I reveal,
Born - at first, he became known as cartoonist - at home and abroad (Italy,
Turkey, Poland, Yugoslavian...) . He published own humorous drawings in all the
important magazines at home(cartoon magazine DIKOBRAZ, Mlady svět, Květy -
in Prague, Slovak cartoon magazine - ROHÁČ in Bratislava) and in the
abroad (Nebelspalter, Szpilki)...
Truly, it's a long time ago.
But he continues and draws its unique humor on.
True, "special" cartoons (for magazines and news papers) he gave
goodbye already.
But his original cultured humor is not lost.
On the contrary. He enhanced by him in all his work
Now, already, for a change, he does humor in your book illustration and in
the free graphic and painting works.
These are: painting, illustration, graphic design - mainly lithography,
posters, animated film, sculptures, theatrical costumes and scenegraphy,
posters, post stamps, PF, Ex-libris, own books-albums with his works of art...
His domain work is graphic - drypoint, etching and color lithography.
Especially in the last mentioned technology has reached a true mastery.
In illustration (over 400 books) he impressed on visual form of the
well-known book characters in the Czech translation of the books of foreign
authors as Astrid Lindgrenová, A. Dumas, D.Defoe, J.Verne, E. A.
Poe, B.Brecht, A. C. Doyle, N.V.Gogol, brothers Grimm, or Shakespeare, La
Fontaine and Ezop,... etc.
And everything he did, with his hands, in the fine art, in these
disciplines, changed to gold. .
His ART-studio is decorated by awards from around the world.
(Let us tell at least some cities: Gottwaldov-Zlín, České Budejovice,
Kroměříž, Bratislava, Montreal, Otawa, New Yourk, Tampere, Paris, Madrid,
Barcelona, Bilbao, Esphin, Bologna, Tolentino, Marostika, Bordighero,
Oberhausern, Lipsko, Krakov, Zahreb, Lublana, Gabrovo, Istambul, Teheran, ...)
Including the French state honors - Ordre des Arts et des Lettres!
(Also)The asteroid 17806 Adolf Born is named for him.
And now, for year 2015, he received the great award - Prize for creative
contribution in films for children and youth (on 55th International Film
Festival in Zlín, former Gottwaldov, Moravia)
World remembers Adolf Born achievements even after long decades. His name
is still a great honor for the authors of today's generation.
Therefore, when I invited the world's leading cartoonists to participate in
the our project ART TRIBUTE - they all told me "Yes".
That is why, Adolf Born is very prestigious cultural ambassador of Czech in
the cartoon world. More than half a century.
Born celebrate his 85 Anniversary in full health, creative power, fine, in
his (home)studio at work, in the work-profession, which is also his
hobby, that's most beautiful what "man - the artist" can meet.
He still looks good, smart, elegant. Of course, keep in shape, full of life
energy, although the time is not so much: the work of creative artist. Hero of
the year remarked jokingly that in his spare time he does what he likes - the
work of the creative artist , graphic designer, illustrator, grapfic,
illustrator, cartoon animator - general-universal...
He is living and works in Capital Prague, with his wife Ema..

Not many people think about
the advantage of district heating, however, this well-established technology
has obvious social benefits.
What is district heating like?
First, it is comfortable:
consumers have nothing to do but enjoy the warmth of their home; the supply,
preparation and conversion of the fuel as well as the maintenance of the system
is done by the service supplier.
Besides, district heating is
environment-friendly: heating plants operating with high efficiency consume
relatively less fuel (so they can be operated with lower costs) than individual
heating systems, so, the quantity of harmful substances after firing is also
less. Another advantage is that smoke is not produced in residential areas but
farther away, so district heating is less harmful on cities air quality.
In addition, renewable energy sources (such as
geothermal energy or biomass) can be applied. Since by the utilization of these
the emission of greenhouse gases decrease, district heating contributes to climate protection.
It is interesting, right? Do
you have your opinion about the issue? If you have, you have nothing to do but
make a drawing about it. A caricature, of course. A creative caricature artist
has an opinion about everything.

contest in the following topic:

The Contest is
open to any natural persons who are 18 years of age or older and have legal
capacity.

This is a
single-run contest. Each contestant may submit max. 5 entries in A4 size
without text and without any technical restrictions. (File properties: CYMK,

in size.)

by Veolia Energia Magyarország Zrt.
2. Validity
of the Contest
Applications
are valid only if
a)they include
the entry/entries complying with the above specified content and form
requirements
b)
and one fully completed application form signed by the
Contestant;
c)the Contestant
meets the eligibility requirements of the Contest Rules;
d)
they are received until 15th March 2016,
24:00h.
Applications are invalid if
a)
they are submitted by an ineligible individual;
b)
they are submitted after the submission deadline;
c)
they do not meet the content requirements;
d)
they do not meet the formal requirements;
e)
they do not include the fully completed application
form signed by the Contestant.
3. By entering this Contest (by
submitting a valid application) the Contestant undertakes to adhere to these
Contest Rules which shall be published on website www.pannonpower.hu following
the announcement of the Contest; furthermore the Contestant agrees to accept
the decision of the jury, which decision shall be binding in every respect. Any
breach of the Contest Rules may result in disqualification of the Contestant.
Veolia Energia Magyarország Zrt. reserve,
at their discretion, the right to disqualify any Contestant that in their
opinion:
a)
interferes or attempts to interfere with the entry
process or the operation of the Contest;
b)
does not respect the Contest Rules;
c)
provides any false information related to the
identity, postal address or ownership rights of the Contestant or related to
any data or information in relation to the Contest;
d)
infringes the rights of any third party or breaches

4. Within the
framework of the Contest, three Contestants will be awarded the following prizes
:

The jury can
give 3 diplomas for the best arts. Not any money reward belongs to the
diplomas.
The entries will be judged by an independent
jury.
The Jury will make its decision based on
the following criteria:

depicting the topic of the Contest,
•
uniqueness of visual presentation,
•
elaborateness of the entry,
•
artistic value,
•
creativity.
5. Contestants
accepting these Contest Rules and submitting valid applications grant without
further compensation to Veolia Energia Magyarország Zrt.
and the companies involved in the announcement and organization of the Contest
commissioned by Veolia Energia Magyarország Zrt. to use, reproduce, adapt, distribute, or
publish the Contest entry for any purpose, thus Veolia Energia Magyarország
Zrt. may use the entries particularly (but not exclusively) in the following ways
and fields:
- digital and
paper-based catalogues,
- free-of-charge
publications (not for sale) distributed among business partners,
- exhibitions,
- for decoration.
The above provisions do not affect the
moral rights.
6. By entering the Contest, Contestants agree
that their personal data shall be collected and managed by Veolia Energia
Magyarország Zrt. and the person, involved in the announcement and organization
of the Contest commissioned by the former, as data controllers, furthermore Contestants
accept that in case Veolia Energia Magyarország Zrt. and the person involved in
the announcement and organization of the Contest commissioned by the former may
not collect and control the necessary data, Contestants shall not be eligible
to participate in the Contest. Veolia Energia Magyarország Zrt. and the person
involved in the announcement and organization of the Contest commissioned by the
former may collect and control the data collected and controlled in connection
with the Contest only for the purpose of implementing the Contest and in the
interest of the purposes defined in the present Contest Rules and may not
disclose these data to a third party.
7. The Contest
shall be governed by Hungarian Law. Participation in the Contest constitutes
full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of the Contest Rules and the
decisions Veolia Energia Magyarország Zrt. and the person involved in the announcement
and organization of the Contest commissioned by the former, which decisions
shall be final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.
Contestants represent and warrant that their
entry is their original work and are the sole and exclusive owners of the Contest
Entry and are eligible to enter the Contest with their Contest Entry.
