Entrevista con Elena Ospina, Ganadora del Primer Premio del World Humor Awards 2016 Por Francisco Puñal Suárez*
Ganadora del Primer Premio Del World Humor Awards 2016 en la categoría de Diseño Humorístico.
Estoy feliz de
recibir el primer premio, en un concurso sobre calentamiento global, pues es un
problema que nos incumbe a todos. Será muy agradable igualmente, encontrarme
con colegas de todo el mundo en la bella Italia y compartir con ellos, estas
son oportunidades magnificas para el encuentro y el humor – expresa la artista
colombiana Elena Ospina, ganadora del primer premio en la categoría de diseño
humorístico, con el tema “Cambio Climático”, de la primera edición del World
Humor Awards que se celebra en la ciudad italiana de Salsomaggiore, en la
provincia de Parma, y cuya premiación se realizó el 25 de septiembre.
La muestra es
organizada por Gianandrea Bianchi y por la Asociación Cultural Lepidus, con la
colaboración de los dibujantes Lucio Trojano y Marco De Angelis.
-¿Cómo se te ocurrió
la idea de la sirena?
-Trabajo mucho desde
el absurdo. La sirena es un personaje mitológico y fabuloso… irreal… sonreímos
pensando que hasta los personajes fantásticos pueden quedar calcinados.
Pero no debemos
pensar que el calentamiento global es igualmente una fábula.
Parece que los seres
humanos vamos a necesitar condiciones realmente extremas para reaccionar ante un
inminente desastre ecológico, en el que todos, sin excepción, estamos
contribuyendo.
-¿Cómo fue la
realización de este dibujo?
-Tengo a mano una
pequeña libreta de apuntes donde voy escribiendo y dibujando, aquí hago un
primer boceto.
Mi técnica, generalmente
es mixta, me gusta mucho mezclar, jugar aleatoriamente con los materiales y
después finalizar en el ordenador.
Para este dibujo de
la sirena, utilicé un fondo hecho con una técnica de grabado llamada colografía
y el resto es vectorial y photoshop.
-¿Por qué te preocupa
el medio ambiente?
-Trabajo mucho sobre
problemas del medio ambiente, ecología, justicia, paz, equidad… porque me
parece importante evidenciar por medio de la caricatura y el humor, el
desequilibrio que generamos los seres humanos con nuestras acciones.
Los caricaturistas no
arreglaremos el planeta, pero proponemos puntos de partida para otras miradas.

Pintora, ilustradora y caricaturista colombiana. Nacida en Medellín.
Desde el 2007, Elena
viaja y vive entre Colombia, España y Estados Unidos
Trabaja para varias
editoriales en Europa y América. Ha colaborado en proyectos con Unicef, Unesco
y otras organizaciones. Ganadora de varios premios internacionales en
ilustración y caricatura. Integrante de la Federación de caricaturistas FECO.

Durante años ha
trabajado en la creación e ilustración de innumerables proyectos publicitarios
y editoriales.
A nivel artístico, ha
participado en exposiciones individuales y colectivas, y parte de su obra se
publica ilustrando artículos y revistas.
Ha obtenido diversos
premios en concursos de humor gráfico celebrados en: Italia, Colombia, Turquía,
Cuba, España, México, Irán, Alemania, Argentina, Croacia, Noruega, Portugal, y
otros.

The organizer of IX International caricature contest is the International magazine for satire, humor and cartoons “Nosorog” (“Rhinocervs”; www.nosorog.rs.sr ;http://nosorog-rhinocervs.weebly.com/ ). The contest is opened for professional or amateur cartoonists, from any country, any nationality, age, sex, or profession.
