April 25, 2024 – Portugal – Celebration of 50 years of the carnation revolution – Day of invocation of Human Resistance and Resilience.

WAKE UP, SLEEPING MINDS…. DEMOCRACY HAS TO BE CONQUERED EVERY DAY…

Portugal celebrates 50 years of the fall of fascism and the establishment of Democracy and instead of having a social democracy we have a corrupt and degenerate democracy that is returning to fascism, daily losing values and rights already conquered. Or that they should be conquered. For this reason, the theme of the IX Luiz d’Oliveira Guimarães Humor Biennial is Human Resistance and Resilience through philosophical humor (not the anecdotal humor of minds put to sleep by the noise of fack news, the censorship of political correctness and the algorithm). These weapons for the survival of ethics, morals and humanity are not only aimed at politics, social coexistence, but at everything linked to everyday life, as resilience against the stupidity of current miseducation, the illiteracy of leaders, the bullying from colleagues, the loneliness of age... We want to celebrate 50 years of possible democracy with cries of resistance and resilience full of satirical optimism, ironic smiles, traits that wake us up to the dark reality that surrounds us. Artists from all over the world, participate.

RISVEGLIO, MENTI DORMENTI….

IX BIENNALE DES HUMORS LUIZ D’OLIVEIRA GUIMARÃES ESPINHAL / PENELA Portugal 2024

Einsendeschluss 25. Mai 2024.

—A polo xamón! Quen levará o xamón?

Que gran candidato sería Vicente! Que ben prometía! Ollo, que non quito mérito a ninguén! Tamén os nosos candidatos, postos a prometer, darían boísimos tomboleiros.

A Pontón, desenfreada:
